Chief Operating Officer (Corporate Office in Camarillo)
Position Summary: Directs the activities of operations and information systems, and participates with Chief Executive Officer in formulating and administering organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
- Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
- Directs and coordinates activities of client services, counseling, education and public relations, and technology divisions to further attainment of goals and objectives.
- Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine departmental progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Confers with executive officers and other management personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
- Develops and implements programs and projects to achieve long and short range goals and objectives.
Supervision: Manages subordinates who supervise the Client Services, Counseling, Education and Public Relations, Finance, and Technology Departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out management and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience: Four year College degree or university program certificate plus five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual Spanish beneficial.

Counseling & Education Director (Corporate Office in Camarillo)
Position Summary: Directly supervises employees in the Counseling & Education Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual Spanish beneficial. Must pass seven Counselor Certification exams and the AARP Reverse Mortgage Counseling Exam.
Credit/Housing Counselor (San Jose & Watsonville):
Position Summary:
- Provides financial and reverse mortgage counseling to individuals and families. Presents group workshops on a variety of consumer credit issues.
- Credit Counseling - Confers with consumer to ascertain available monthly income after living expenses to meet credit
obligations. Calculates amount of debt, funds available for repayment, plans method of payoff and establishes payment
priorities, and estimates time for debt liquidation.
- Credit Report Review – Runs consumer credit report and provides explanation of content. Confers with consumer to
ascertain personal financial goals and counsels/advises in relation to credit report.
- Housing Counseling - Confers with consumers on such subjects as first time homebuyer, refinancing, eviction/foreclosure
and reverse mortgages. Confers with consumers on rental housing issues such as advantages and disadvantages of
renting, rent calculations, choosing rental housing, and leasing. (CCCS is a HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency).
- Education Workshops - Presents workshops on such topics as budgeting, debt management, first time home buyers, and proprietary program “Master Your Money.”
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Two to five years financial, banking or collections experience.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish beneficial..
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or education/experience equivalent.
- Must pass seven Counselor Certification exams and the AARP Reverse Mortgage Counseling Exam
